Mike Mesgleski & Mike Haber

The Art of Composition in Underwater Photography
Mike Mesgleski & Mike Haber
2:00 - 5:00 pm  Reliant Center - Second Floor

Description: Many people can learn the technical aspects of operating a sophisticated camera. Some acquire the additional attention to detail and level of caution required to successfully take a camera system underwater. But only a select few go on to cultivate the creative eye and special diving skills needed to produce truly unique and artistic underwater images. This workshop will focus on the fine art of composition as it relates to underwater photography. You will learn how to carefully approach skittish marine life, and where to position yourself, the camera, and your strobes to make a routine shot into something special. You'll learn how to practice for success, and be ready to make the most of a special opportunity when it presents itself.

About the Presenters: Mike Mesgleski & Mike Haber together operate the Jim Church School of Photography. They were Jim Church's close friends and associates for 20 years. Jim had selected them to “team teach” his style of Underwater Photography instruction and they have been doing that successfully for 5 years aboard the Aggressor Fleet's live-aboard dive yachts.
